It’s a Wrap!
USC Village completes nearly 3 years of construction of the $700 million project with a ceremony, unveiling a 20-foot Bronzed Statue of Hecuba, the Queen of Troy during the Trojan War. Crisp Imaging wrapped the Statue in Mesh from top to bottom, hiding the Statue from the public eye until the big reveal. Featured in Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, and Virgil’s Aeneid, Hecuba stood to protect her city and Family and will now stand as the focal point of 15 acres situated on the corner of Hoover Street and Jefferson Boulevard. Bringing a dining hall and residential colleges for 2,500 students – offering suite-style living with kitchen and shared spaces and outdoor lounges – The Village is not only USC’s largest development, but also the largest in South L.A.’s history.
